Turning one is so fun...

All 'my' babies are turning one! Can I claim them as 'mine'? ;) And getting sweeter (and messier) at the same time... *sigh* I think time goes by even faster when you photograph children. I blink and all 'my little ones' are growing up!

Ok, I know little G's mom doesn't need me reminder her how big her sweet boy has gotten. So, I'll stop. We had such a fun time and I mean WE, even Mom and Dad got messy. ;) I hope your second year is just as amazing and fun-filled as your first sweetie pie. I have no doubt that your mom and pop will make it amazing...

Before Ellie made a mess (smash cake coming soon!), we decided to take a stroll to loosen up and enjoy the sunshine! What a ham!

A walk with my son at 18 months...

At eighteen months, he's discovered the world is his. He's ready to try new things. Run full speed. Leave me behind. As I captured him, he didn't even realize I was shedding a tear behind the lens. Eighteen months always seems like such a milestone age to me... the transition from baby to toddler. One thing is for certain, Evan will have me running at full speed for his two year pictures. I barely kept up for these...

He sat...

but only for a moment. As I started to edit Evan's 18 month photos, I found this was the one shot he was actually sitting. Not that I don't love all the personality he gave me for the rest of the session. But something about how he's off in his own little world in this shot makes me wonder...what is he thinking?

A little guy and his big world...

Evan is slow-to-warm. His personality is a lot different than Megan's. It takes patience to get his true personality to show through in photos. I have his official 18 months shoot scheduled for this weekend (yes, I actually write my kids in the books! LOL) but wanted to share a few of his spirit that I've recently captured.
